Reserve now at Rivermill

22 June 2017

‘Golden Share’ information event on 26th June in Currie

Allen & Harris is now taking reservations for a new development of two and three bedroom apartments in Currie, Edinburgh.  Built by Dunhaven Homes, Rivermill will comprise 53 executive waterside apartments, overlooking the idyllic Water of Leith and includes 12 ‘Golden Share’ apartments.  The development is set to launch the ‘Golden Share’ apartments on Monday 26th June with an information event at Currie Library where prospective buyers are invited to join the Allen & Harris team from 5.30pm to find out more about the development, the ‘Golden Share’ scheme and receive help with applications.

‘Golden Share’ is an approved affordable housing tenure in the City of Edinburgh where properties are sold at 80% of open market value making them affordable to people in housing need.  Potential purchasers must evidence a local connection, a need for a property of this size and an inability to finance the purchase of the full market value of the property. Only one live Golden Share application is allowed at any time.  The City of Edinburgh Council will assess eligibility based on the evidence provided.

Rivermill sits amongst matured woodland and on the banks of the Water of Leith, offering a tranquil countryside feel whilst benefitting from fast access into Edinburgh which is just seven miles away.  On completion, the development will offer an exceptional standard of living with a stylish design to the exterior and modern, open-plan interiors providing flexible family living and a high level of comfort.  Rivermill is expected to be very popular amongst a range of buyers and will be a welcome new addition to the suburb of Currie, providing much needed starter and family apartments to the area.  The apartments are set to be completed in early 2018, but Allen & Harris is urging prospective buyers to reserve early to avoid any disappointment.

Prices at Rivermill start from £197,500 for those benefitting from the Golden Share scheme.  The ‘Golden Share’ information event takes place at Currie Library, 240 Lanark Road West, EH14 5NX on Monday 26th June from 5.30pm.  For further information and to reserve one of these fantastic new apartments, please contact Allen & Harris on 0141 616 2424 or Dunhaven Homes on 0131 285 4099.
