"I began my career with Barnard Marcus as an Apprentice Lettings Administrator in January 2014, working alongside the PA to the Lettings Director. From my very first day in the job I knew I had chosen the right company and industry, I went on to finish my apprenticeship and receive an NVQ in Business Administration.
In January 2015 I became a full-time Lettings Negotiator in our brand new flagship office in Wallington and it was in this role that I started to flourish.
In May 2016 I decided to move to the Residential Sales side of the business and I came into Sales role with the goal of being the Top Negotiator in my first full year.
In 2017 I achieved this with the fantastic support and training of the company and my Manager. I am now a Senior Sales Negotiator in one of the company’s top offices and this year I will be on the National Top Achievers company trip. When I first joined as an apprentice I was told that in this job “you get out what you put in” and to date this could not have been more true. I have never been excited to go to work until I joined Barnard Marcus. In addition, I feel that working closely with my managers has helped me to progress further than I could ever have imagined in a short space of time. Within weeks I made very close friends with a number of colleagues which I know I will treasure for a long time.
One of the main things I like about Barnard Marcus is the training that is offered and the chance to develop and grow within the company. I have found everyone within the company extremely friendly and welcoming from day one. There are masses of like-minded individuals as well as this, they are very professional and offer amazing advice, support and motivation not just in lettings but across all disciplines.
As an experienced manager I was promised the opportunity to move to a larger, flagship branch, subject to performing well. After a strong start, true to their word - I was selected take the helm of Bedford Park which came with more responsibility, a larger team and higher targets I needed to achieve. It is a great challenge and I am relishing every moment – I cannot wait to come into work every day and after many years of being in the industry, I do not EVER clock watch.
